30 Burgers comes to Freehold Township offering, yes, 30 types of burgers
You probably would not want to wait 7 to 10 minutes for a burger at a fast food place. But at 30 Burgers, the popular casual restaurant chain in New Jersey, the wait is worth it.
In December, 30 Burgers opened a new location in Freehold Township between Hallmark and Starbucks at Village Center Drive.
Haven't tried one yet? They are far from your average greasy boardwalk burger. The all-natural Angus beef patties are free-range, not frozen.
What to order will be a challenge. 30 Burgers offers, as you may have guessed, 30 burgers.
Some popular ones include the Bullseye BBQ with crispy onion straws, bacon, BBQ sauce, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a Miami onion bun; and the Trenton with pork roll, American cheese and ketchup on a baked deli bun.
According to supervisor Jillian Vulpis, the Bacon Royal is a popular choice for early birds because it comes topped with a fried egg, crispy bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a deli bun.
"Everything is made fresh to order and all our burgers are customizable," Vulpis said.

All 30 Burgers' signature sauces are made in-house, like the Ranch, Chipotle mayo and fry sauce. Fresh bread is delivered weekly as well.
"[We also offer] gluten-free buns and lettuce wraps for those who struggle to eat out, either because they can't eat gluten or are trying to watch their carbs," she said.
30 Burgers also offers vegan patties, turkey burgers, chicken patties, bison, tilapia — you get the picture. Try a panini like the Veggie with tomatoes, lettuce, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onions, Chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese.
And bacon-wrapped cheddar cheese dogs.
"There are healthy options like salads and paninis, but we a also have wings, hot dogs, kids meals ..., " she said.
Old-fashioned milkshakes, like vanilla and strawberry, are also on the menu. There are more flavors, too, like banana or almond cherry.
Right now, the Freehold location is the only one at the Shore (a Red Bank location that opened last year is currently closed). The Freehold shop is open late: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays; and 11 a.m. to midnight every other day of the week.
"We always serve delicious food with a smile," Vulpis said.
