360 Rooftop Bar DJ fired after reportedly not following specified playlist
ST. LOUIS – The 360 Rooftop Bar released a statement Wednesday after a DJ was fired for deviating from the bar’s required lounge-style playlist.
In the statement posted to Facebook, the bar wrote “Our goal is to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all of our guests, and we carefully curate our music selection to match the overall vibe of the spaces.”
The post went on to say the bar plays artists like Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Drake, SZA, Beyoncé, and more.
A spokesperson for the bar was unable to confirm exactly what kind of music was played but said the DJ ignored instructions and played his own selection of music.
Blaise Pastoret told FOX 2 that the bar has always played a specific type of music and that DJ’s are aware of that.

“Our sister restaurant downtown has been open for well over a decade and we’ve always had a temporary mashup of top 40 top chart hits,” Pastoret said. “There was a DJ who just wasn’t happy with that and played outside of what we normally play.”
Tori Garza has gone to 360 Westport a couple of times and said the bar could have handled the situation differently.
“Nobody needs to get fired over a certain kind of music,” Garza said. “You’re a rooftop bar. You should be wanting people to come out there more and hang out.”
Pastoret said the music played at 360 Rooftop Bar and at Westport Plaza has always been the same, following a specific type of playlist.
