'Scandal' Role Reversal: Watch Tony Goldwyn and Bellamy Young Flip the Script
Scandal’s Fitz and Mellie Grant are the ultimate power couple — he’s the president of the United States, she’s a senator gunning for the White House. Now divorced, they’ve taken part in some epic showdowns in the last five seasons, and Tony Goldwyn and Bellamy Young have taken every juicy word and given us a delicious acting feast.

But what if they got to play the other’s part? Watch the actors take on our Role Reversal game, reenacting a scene from the Season 4 premiere. Goldwyn is a despondent, grieving Mellie (this is her Smelly Mellie phase), while Young plays a somber Fitz. They’ve lost their son, and Fitz is doubly sad over breaking up with Olivia. Mellie has one of her amazing monologues — see if Goldwyn can pull it off without laughing!
The two will be in their usual roles when Scandal returns for the second half of Season 5 this Thursday, Feb. 11 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
