Name  Mark Tremonti – Creed/Alter Bridge/Tremonti

Best known for  Songwriter, guitar player, singer, father, pinball enthusiast, painter, Down syndrome advocate.

Current city  Orlando, FL

Really want to be in  Only place I haven’t been that I would love to go to is Egypt. Would love to see the pyramids in person. I am fascinated with the history of the country.

Excited about  The upcoming Creed tour (60 dates in 2024), Human Clay reissue (August 16), Tremonti Sings Sinatra tour dates (December 2024), and upcoming Tremonti (metal band) album in 2025.

My current music collection has a lot of  Big band jazz would surprise most people. Frank Sinatra is a given, of course. Mel Tormé, Peggy Lee, Chris Connor, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald. Joe Williams. Kurt Elling is my favorite modern jazz artist.

And a little bit of  Old school R&B like The Commodores.

Preferred format  Right now, I have to say streaming only because of the lack of availability for CD players in cars and entertainment systems. In a perfect world, vinyl is the best listening experience to me.

5 Albums I Can’t Live Without:

1

Master of Puppets, Metallica

Master of Puppets was the record that turned me into a music fanatic. It is my favorite album of all time. It was the album that really molded me as a musician.

2

Morbid Tales/Emperor’s Return, Celtic Frost

This is my favorite record from my other favorite band of all time – right up there with Metallica. It was introduced to me by a friend in junior high school and I immediately connected with it.

3

Reign in Blood, Slayer

When I was growing up, this record was probably one of the most dangerous and aggressive records I had ever heard. To this day, I feel it has some of the greatest guitar riffs ever put on a record.

4

Legend, Bob Marley

This is my “desert island disc.” It is a perfect record and makes me feel good every time I hear it. It is the one album I can’t live without.

5

Boston, Boston

Songs on this record never ever get old. I can listen to them any time and they are still enjoyable. “More Than a Feeling” is a song that I will never get tired of hearing. Every song on that record was an undeniable hit.
