1. Roseanne is canceled following star’s racist tweet

As far as ABC is concerned, the outspoken Roseanne Barr crossed a line with the insult she hurled at Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to former President Barack Obama, on Twitter Tuesday. “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC President Channing Dungey said in a statement.
