50 Cent Calls Out Keith Sweat For Potentially Backpedaling On Humor & Harmony Weekend
50 Cent has no problem taking things public if someone does wrong by him. Keith Sweat claimed that he would attend Fif’s Humor & Harmony Weekend in Shreveport, La. — but only via Zoom — and set off a hilarious back and-forth between the two legends.
“This [ninja emoji] @keithsweat is tripping,” the 49-year-old rapper wrote in the caption of his Instagram post on Friday (July 26). “He getting Diddy’s Key to the city Aug’s 3 They blocking off streets in Harlem for him. [eyebrow raise emoji] Now if he don’t show up in Shreveport, we ain’t f**king with him no more.”
In the actual post, the G-Unit leader was explaining to someone that the legendary R&B singer told him he would only appear at his upcoming event virtually, despite the fact he was initially listed as one of the celebrities who would be in attendance.
Why? Because 50 won’t be present on Aug. 3 when he receives the Key to New York City. The key originally was given to the former REVOLT chairman, but was taken back after footage surfaced of him assaulting Cassie in 2016.
Keith Sweat responded on Instagram with a video of him listening to 50’s classic diss track “How To Rob,” where Fif threatened to rob him and several other rappers and singers. In his caption, he wrote “@50cent Hey Fif I gotta respond to you I’m definitely not coming to Shreveport now. I just remember you said this about me back in the day.” He used the opportunity to promote his key ceremony before giving the “In Da Club” rapper an ultimatum. “You need to be there with me and everything is squashed. Love You Shreveport LMFAO.”
Not to be outdone, 50 Cent reshared the video on his page and responded. “[facepalm emoji] Oh no, I was tripping when I wrote that,” he wrote. “Yo a** better be in Shreveport [ninja emoji]. [eyebrow raise emoji] We need that grown and sexy sh*t ! @keithsweat spot playing get your a** on da jet man.”
50’s Humor & Harmony Weekend will occur on Aug. 8 – Aug. 10. It was originally supposed to be hosted at Independence Stadium, however, forecasted temperatures have forced the event to shift indoors to the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. Keith Sweat was among an impressive list of guests and performers, namely Andrew Schulz, Michael Blackson, DC Young Fly, Katt Williams, 2 Chainz, Moneybagg Yo, Muni Long, Cam’ron, Al B Sure, Romeo, Pleasure P, and representatives of the 2024 XXL Freshman Class.
