50 Cent believes Meek Mill’s constant need to address various rumors has only helped them to spread further.

During a chat with Billboard, the Queens rapper born Curtis Jackson opened up about being confronted with rumors and the natural reaction of defending ones self. For 50, however, restraint is key if you don’t want to exacerbate the situation, using rumors of Meek Mill being gay and having a relationship with Diddy as an example.

“When you say something that isn’t true, and the person wants to defend themselves, they encourage — the public likes that you’re vulnerable,” 50 told Billboard. “Because it matters to you that it wasn’t true and they jump on you.

“That’s like Meek Mill,” he went on. “When they say Meek is fruity or gay with Puff in the situation now. It’s how he responds to it that makes people talk about it more. It gets bigger and bigger and it turns into a thing going on out there.”

50 then pointed to the fact that, while French Montana runs in the same circle and has been confronted with similar accusations, his choice to ignore the whispers has all but silenced conversation surrounding him and the disgraced mogul.

“You don’t hear one thing about French Montana,” Fif said. “And French was in that circle and around that a lot. Not one thing, and Meek’s sh*t is all over the place. It’s the way they respond to what people say about them publicly. They feel like, ‘That bothers you?’ If you say anything, then they start harping on that harder. They want the fight to continue.”

Back in April — five months before Diddy’s indictment — Meek took to social media to reveal that rumors surrounding his sexuality began to affect his son.

“I don’t believe no Diddy story once they lied about me now!” he wrote on Monday (April 8) via X. “Anybody try to sexually assault me it will be a bang out on the spot how yall don’t know that lol I don’t care but yall confusing my son he’s 12 with people saying his dad gay it’s sick now outchea so f**k it lol.”

Following Puff’s arrest, Meek offered up cold hard cash to anyone who could explain why he’s so closely associated with the Bad Boy founder.

“I wanna hire an investigative team, 100K cash, to find out every specific detail involving Meek Mill’s name in the ‘Diddy’ case,” he declared on X on Monday (Sept. 24). “I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving ‘meek’ anything to do with buddy! Something not right. The streets know wassup with me, that’s not the case. We talking about the business side. Somebody powering these bad campaigns with Meek Mill again. I got 100K for a thorough investigation of who’s powering and how exactly my name got connected to this.”
