Our 6 Favorite 'Yellowstone' Couples, Ranked — Do Your Favs Make the List?

Amongst all the chaos, mayhem and drama that's seemingly always present on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, there are a few tender moments sprinkled in that dull down some of the intensity — and they tend to include just a dash of romance that we eat up each and every time.

From fan favorites to pairings that fly a little bit under the radar, take a look at our six favorite Yellowstone couples — do you agree with our ranking?

6. John & Lynelle

John Dutton has been widowed since the tragic death of his first wife, and while her character was a controversial one (Beth supporters rise!) we've always secretly hoped the Dutton patriarch would find love once again.

Perhaps not love, but the relationship he shared with Montana's Governor Perry is one we enjoyed. While their relationship might be exclusively physical and therefore a bit more surface-level, Governor Perry is one of the few people who understands the immense pressure he is under as a landowner of epic proportion.

Furthermore, she does what she can to help him out of the occasional pickle that surely presents itself time and time again on the ranch.

5. Ryan & Abby

One of the newer couples on the Yellowstone scene, ranch hand Ryan and aspiring country musician Abby, played by none other than Lainey Wilson, had an adorable, budding romance that was sadly cut short when Ryan went forth with heading to Texas.

4. Jimmy & Emily

Fan-favorite Jimmy had a rocky start on the Yellowstone before becoming one of the most beloved characters on the ranch. After his somewhat tumultuous relationship with barrel racer Mia, the two called it quits and Jimmy was sent off to Texas.

It wasn't long before he meets gentle vet Emily, and soon enough, the couple were engaged.

He chose Emily, and he chose this new life in Texas,” actor Jefferson White told TVLine. “I cross my fingers that it’s smooth sailing for him because it’s a beautiful thing. It’s the first time in his life he has a little bit of agency.”

3. Colby & Teeter — 'Yellowstone' couples

One of the most unexpected Yellowstone couples of the bunch, Colby and Teeter couldn't be more different, yet somehow, we find ourselves rooting for them.

"Y’know, there’s something where she can really ruffle his feathers," Jen Landon told Screen Rant of her character Teeter and Denim Richard's character of Colby.

"He’s got a lot of feathers to ruffle, y’know? There’s a sort of, I always felt there was gonna be some sort of unspoken connection that neither of them would talk about, which is the function of being a little bit of an outsider. Denim Richards. Colby stands out. Teeter stands out."

2. Kayce & Monica — 'Yellowstone' couples

Does this couple occasionally make us want to scream at our televisions? Yes. Regardless, we can't help but love this duo. There's a loyalty between the two that is admirable and keeps us rooting for them time after time.

1. Rip & Beth — 'Yellowstone' couples

It's certainly no surprise to Yellowstone fans that Beth and Rip come in at our favorite couple on the show — Heck, maybe even on TV as a whole.

"It’s such a lovely love story between these two very broken, supposedly tough characters who have a place to be vulnerable with one another and to show sides of themselves that they don’t get to show anywhere else," said Kelly Reilly to Deadline. "And there’s so much romance."
