“At first I was really scared and didn’t know what to say, but it makes me really proud that I spoke out now, because there are way more people than I thought going through that,” she told The Boot of being open about her struggles and responding to others who approach her with their own. “I thought I was super alone when I was dealing with that, and that’s not the case.”

These all too relatable lyrics describe the common experience we all go through, in which we believe that once something we’ve been wishing for happens for us, then we’ll truly be happy. However, as we know, that’s never how it really goes, creating an endless cycle.
