The 7 Best New Movies Streaming on Netflix in November 2024

As we enter the final stretch of 2024, the holidays and cold weather make for optimal streaming conditions. Whether you’re visiting family or trying to avoid them, catching up on Oscar contenders or revisiting old favorites, we’ll all have plenty of reasons to watch movies at home this month.

Fortunately, Netflix is adding plenty of new movies to its library this month that promise to satisfy any streaming urge you might have. Award watchers can celebrate the fact that they’ll be able to stream two major Oscar players over Thanksgiving. “Emilia Perez,” Jacques Audiard’s trans musical fantasia that stunned Cannes audiences, is set to stream on Netflix after being acquired at the festival. A week later it will be joined by “The Piano Lesson,” Malcolm Washington’s adaptation of the acclaimed August Wilson play that serves as the latest entry in Denzel Washington’s attempt to adapt all ten works in Wilson’s lauded Century Cycle.
