There are movies from the 1990s that are simply unforgettable, whether you’re talking about the doomed romance of Titanic (1997) or pop culture sensation Clueless (1995). At the same time, there are others that are worth remembering, but may be too underrated or have faded from memory. That’s where we come in with these 7 movies from the 90s that flew under the radar and absolutely deserve a rewatch.

1. Cape Fear (1991)

Although Martin Scorsese is a world-renowned film director, some of his works could get lost in the shadow of other great projects. One of them is Cape Fear, which was released  in 1991 and follows convicted rapist Max Cady (Robert De Niro), who is sent to jail for years. Once released, Cady devotes his time to stalking public defender Sam Bowden (Nick Nolte), who he believes failed him). Bowden realizes he must act outside of the law to protect his family from the criminal.

Starring Adam Sandler, Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi, Airheads is a classic 90s film that should still be on everyone’s radar. Three wannabe rock musicians are desperate to have their songs heard on the radio — so much so that they sneak into a radio station in Los Angeles and threaten its manager with realistic-looking water guns, escalating the situation. If you are a fan of Adam Sandler comedies, Airheads is certainly worth the watch.

When a successful banker, Nicholas (Michael Douglas), is offered the chance to participate in a personalized, real-life game, he accepts. What seems harmless at first becomes increasingly dangerous as he finds he can trust no one and that all of his money is suddenly gone.
