A beloved member of the 126 could soon be in for the fight of her life.

Nancy accidentally texts a naked picture of herself to the entire station on tonight’s episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star (Fox, 8/7c), a storyline that’s initially played for laughs… until things take a very serious turn.

More from TVLine

In TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek, Tommy calls Nancy into her office to discuss the nude photo in question. But Nancy isn’t being punished — not even for taking this particular picture on Captain Strand’s kitchen counter. Instead, Tommy suggests that Nancy get a mammogram after noticing what appears to be a lump in one of her breasts.

“I can see your brain is going a mile a minute,” Tommy acknowledges after dropping this bomb on Nancy. “Get screened. You are young. Unless there is a family history, chances are it’s just a cyst. Statistically speaking, you have very little to worry about.”

But here’s the thing — this is 9-1-1: Lone Star, which means we have a lot to be worried about, statistically speaking. And if you happened to catch Fox’s official promo for Monday’s episode, you already know what’s about to happen.

Spoiler alert: Tommy also gets a mammogram, and the promo shows her telling Nancy that the doctor “found something.” With tears welling in her eyes, Tommy says, “It’s bad.”

Earlier this season, 9-1-1: Lone Star co-showrunner Rashad Raisani told TVLine that a “character-defining arc” was coming for Gina Torres’ character in Episode 6, but we assumed it would be about her relationship with Trevor. Hasn’t this poor woman been through enough?!
