90s Heartthrobs We Can’t Get Enough Of

Every time any one of these 90s heartthrobs stepped onto the screen, everyone’s pulse started to race. Whether it was when Leonardo DiCaprio lit a cigarette on Titanic or when John Stamos said “Have Mercy” on Full House, these 12 guys were some of our favorites.

1. Leonardo DiCaprio

If you weren’t watching Titanic in 1997 just to drool over a young Leonardo DiCaprio, what were you doing? The actor made a name for himself in the late 80s but skyrocketed to fame in the 90s, lucky for his fans all around the world.

2. Brad Pitt

All the girls wanted to date Brad Pitt, and all the guys wanted to be him. And when the actor started seeing Jennifer Aniston, the world only fell more in love with him. Best known for Thelma & Louise (1991) and Fight Club (1999), Brad Pitt was always the guy of our dreams.

3. Paul Rudd

We all wanted Paul Rudd’s character to end up with Cher in Clueless, right? After he was Josh in the 1995 romantic comedy, Rudd became everyone’s favorite 90s actor and heartthrob.

4. Freddie Prinze Jr.

Being chased by a hook-wielding maniac looks good on Freddie Prinze Jr. The actor rose to fame after starring in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and She’s All That (1999) and stole our hearts along the way.

5. George Clooney

We need George Clooney, STAT! As soon as he appeared on our screens in that white lab coat, everyone’s hearts stopped. It’s safe to assume that if you’ve seen One Fine Day (1996) or Out of Sight (1998), you probably need to be checked out by Dr. Doug Ross.

6. Johnny Depp

If it wasn’t Johnny Depp’s acting skills that made you fall in love, it was probably his dimples and dark eyes that got you. Every girl was obsessed with Depp in the 90s and that feeling probably hasn’t faded yet.

7. Ryan Phillippe

He and Reese Witherspoon made a picture-perfect couple in the 90s, but everyone loved Ryan Phillippe after seeing him in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Cruel Intentions (1999). With those piercing blue eyes and blonde curls, how could you not fall in love with him?

8. Luke Perry

Luke Perry stole hearts on screen as the dark and mysterious, Dylan McKay, in Beverly Hills, 90210. He was the 90s heartthrob and if you didn’t have a poster of the actor hanging up on your wall, what were you doing?

9. Jason Priestley

Perry’s on-screen buddy, Jason Priestley, was another 90s actor that we couldn’t get enough of. The star was best known for his role as Brandon Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210, but we also loved him Calendar Girl (1993) and Vanishing Point (1997).

10. John Stamos

“Have Mercy!” Everyone loves John Stamos for his most famed role as the attractive, guitar playing Uncle Jesse. But the actor also stole hearts as Blackie on General Hospital and while riding his bike in Born to Ride (1991). But seriously, whose heart didn’t speed up when they heard Stamos singing an Elvis song on Full House?

11. Matt Damon

After seeing Good Will Hunting (1997), it is guaranteed that you fell in love with Matt Damon. But if his Academy Award winning acting skills weren’t enough to pull you in, then his good looks and charm definitely were.

12. Jonathan Taylor Thomas

Get yourself a 90s heartthrob that can star in a major sitcom and a massively popular Disney movie, simultaneously! Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a star in the 90s and his picture was on all of our walls growing up. Right?

13. James Van Der Beek

It’s impossible to imagine the 90s without Dawson’s Creek heartthrob, James Van Der Beek. He was the face of the series and therefore he was everywhere else. He had that perfect 90s hair and he was easy on the eyes while starring in his hit show. 

14. Andrew Keegan

If you watched 10 Things I Hate About You and didn’t fall in love with Andrew Keegan, did you even watch the movie? The star, although portrayed as the villain, was pretty irresistible in the 90s and it's impossible to argue otherwise. 

15. Rider Strong

Rider Strong got hearts racing when he starred on Boy Meets World as Shawn Hunter and it hasn’t changed since. The actor has continued to be a fan-favorite over the years and his good looks still haven’t faded!
