That ’90s Show Cancelled at Netflix
Goodbye, Wisconsin.
Netflix has cancelled That ’90s Show after two seasons, TVLine has confirmed. The news comes less than two months after the release of Part 3 (aka the second half of Season 2).

The That ’70s Show follow-up centered on a new generation of Point Place basement dwellers, including Eric and Donna’s daughter Leia (played by Callie Haverda), and Kelso and Jackie’s son Jay (Mace Coronel). The show brought back (almost) every major character from the original show, including executive producers Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty) and Kurtwood Smith (Red), who returned as series regulars. Topher Grace (Eric), Laura Prepon (Donna), Wilmer Valderrama (Fez), Mila Kunis (Jackie), Ashton Kutcher (Kelso), Don Stark (Bob) and Tommy Chong (Leo) all guest-starred, while Prepon also directed 10 of That ’90s Show’s 26 episodes.
Smith announced the news in an Instagram post on Thursday, telling the show’s fans, “I’ve loved every minute of getting to bring Grandpa Red to life for you all.”
In addition to Haverda and Coronel, the young ensemble included Ashley Aufderheide (Gwen), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Nate), Reyn Doi (Ozzie) and Sam Morelos (Nikki).
The Season 2 finale, which was released on Aug. 22, ended on something of a cliffhanger: Red, Kitty and Donna stumbled upon Leia and her friends smoking pot the night before Leia was to begin her first semester at Point Place High School. (TVLine readers gave Part 3 an average grade of “B.”)
