Aaron Carter speaks out after brother Nick has restraining order against him extended for a year
Nick Carter has been granted a one-year restraining order against his brother, Aaron Carter.
Aaron, 31, was a no-show in Las Vegas court on Wednesday for the hearing, according to multiple reports. So just days after Aaron’s twin sister, Angel Conrad, had her order against Aaron extended, the judge in Nick’s case did the same.
According to the ruling, Aaron must not contact the Backstreet Boys singer, 39, and his family in any way — including social media or email — through November 2020.
While Aaron was fired up and angry earlier in the week leaving court in Angel’s case, he was seemingly more calm on Wednesday while addressing Nick’s case and his ongoing sibling drama on Instagram.
“I know that there’s been a lot of stuff going on with the court dates and stuff like that,” Aaron said, while a puppy licked his face. “I wish my family the best. It’s been a very stressful situation.”
The subdued Aaron went on to say that there are “a lot of haters out there” and “it is what it is.” And while “it’s very hard to get through,” he continued, “at the same time,” he’s “trying to find a way to turn the [troll] hate around in the world. It’s definitely an impossible mission to the average person, but to me, it’s something I feel like I can do.”
Carter was wearing a hospital bracelet in the video, which showed him reclining on a bed. It’s unclear if it is from his hospital stay last week amid his ongoing woes or a new hospitalization.
Nick and Angel sought orders of protection against their brother in September after they claim he made various threats to them or their family members, including Nick’s wife, Lauren Kitt. After that, Aaron went on public personal attacks against both of them, especially Nick. He branded Nick a “serial rapist” and claimed to have witnessed his brother abuse ex Paris Hilton.
Aaron defiantly showed up at court on Tuesday, in Angel’s case, with singer Melissa Schuman, who publicly accused his brother Nick of rape in 2017 amid the #MeToo movement. (Nick denied the allegations and was not charged with any crime.) Aaron posted a photo after Angel’s order of protection against him was extended in which he and Schuman did a celebratory high-five over the fact that he is barred from seeing his twin sister, which left his fans confused.
During that court appearance on Tuesday, Aaron was told by the judge that he will not be able to possess firearms while the protective order is in place, which reportedly angered him.
But Aaron’s behavior has been unpredictable — from his public feuding with siblings to the giant face tattoo he seemingly got on a whim. In a September episode of The Doctors, Aaron said he has multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia bipolar disorder and acute anxiety.
