Aaron Paul Gets a Second Chance at ‘The Price Is Right’
Back in 2000, a young Aaron Paul got to “come on down” on The Price Is Right. Aaron made it to the Showcase Showdown, where the person he was going against bid over the amount of her showcase. So all Aaron had to do was bid under and he’d win a sports car, among other things. Aaron bid $26,500, and Bob Barker announced, “The actual retail price of your showcase is … $26,368,” leaving Aaron in shock at how close he came to winning.
Fast-forward 17 years and Aaron got a chance at redemption. During Aaron’s visit to The Late Late Show With James Corden, which is right next to where they shoot The Price Is Right, James helped Aaron break onto the Price Is Right set for another chance at winning the Showcase Showdown.
James and Aaron went through the whole process of calling Aaron down, Aaron outbidding fake contestants, and Aaron spinning the giant wheel. That’s when Drew Carey busted them playing around on his set. But when James explained what they were doing, Drew joined in on the fun and hosted the Showcase Showdown with James and Aaron.
This time Aaron was sure to only bid $26,000, but he forgot to take depreciation into account. So when James bid $4,500, he won, and Aaron stormed off the set, stealing one of the prizes on his way out.
The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
