Aaron Rodgers Docuseries Touches Down At Netflix
Aaron Rodgers will be back on the field for an NFL for the first time in a year after tearing his Achilles four snaps into his first game for the New York Jets.
The outspoken quarterback will do it with a Netflix greenlight in his pocket.

The streamer has ordered docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, which will follow Rodgers’ comeback, which kicks off at Levi’s Stadium as the Jets take on the San Francisco 49ers.
The three-part series, which launches on December 17, will also follow the ayahuasca advocate’s life off the field. It is produced by Religion of Sports, Skydance Sports and NFL Films.
In the trailer, which you’ll be able to see above shortly, Rodgers talks about both his approach to quarterback play, as well as the events of that night at MetLife Stadium.
“Listen, I believe in the power of prayer and intention and from the first night this happened, hours after that, I was surrounded by a bunch of really special people in my life, and we just laid down a lot of prayers,” he said.
Gotham Chopra and Liam Hughes direct with Chopra exec producing alongside Ameeth Sankaran, Victor Buhler, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jason Reed, Jon Weinbach, Ross Ketover, Keith Cossrow, Ken Rodgers and Jessica Boddy.
It is one of a number of new sports projects for Netflix including a third season renewal for its golf docuseries Full Swing, which comes from Pro Shop Studios, Box to Box Films and Vox Media Studios.
There’s a raft of sports films for its Untold strand including a deep dive into the 2009 locker room gun incident between Washington Wizards players Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton; the chess cheating scandal involving chess grandmasters Hans Niemann and Magnus Carlsen; and the controversy and backlash surrounding social media personality The Liver King’s steroid scandal.
The Gil & Javaris and Chess stories are produced by Propagate and Stardust Frames Productions. The Liver King story is produced by Bitachon 365 and Candle True Stories.
