‘Abbott Elementary’ Crossover With ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ Officially Coming Soon
I’m sure this isn’t what Marvel meant when they said Multiverse of Madness, but Abbott Elementary, we are listening.
Quinta Brunson’s hit TV show has been teased to get a crossover episode for its fourth season on ABC, and it appears that it will be alongside It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
On Thursday (Oct. 3), Rob McElhenne, who plays Mac on IASIP, shared a photo on social media showing Tyler James Williams, Charlie Day, William Stanford Davis, Danny DeVito, and, of course, Quinta Brunson, mean mugging with shades on. The picture had no caption, but the sheer volume of Philly-based television (confidently) spoke for itself.
Brunson issued a photo of her own to Instagram, alongside Day and McElhenne outside of the Warner Bros. lot, with a caption saying, “Season 4 of Abbott Elementary gets real Sunny.”
Brunson previously teased a possible collaboration in July at San Diego Comic-Con. During her time at the convention, the Emmy-award-winning thespian spoke about a possible collaboration that could “change television as we know it.” “We will be doing an interesting crossover this season,” Quinta told the crowd, to which she received gasps. “I won’t tell you with who or with what or where or when or how… but just be excited that it will change television as we know it.”
Abbott Elementary finally returns for its fourth season on Wednesday (Oct. 9) at 9:30 PM EST on ABC. Fans have been clamoring for the new season ever since the 3rd season ended with a cliff-hanger, with emotions running high between Brunson’s Janine and Williams’ Gregory characters.
