ABC's 'The Good Doctor' is ending with Season 7

"The Good Doctor" is scrubbing in for its final season on ABC.

The popular medical drama stars British actor Freddie Highmore who is also the executive producer. The show will end with its seventh season and a new timeslot on Tuesdays at 10 p.m.

The groundbreaking series follows Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. The series chronicles the lives of Murphy and his medical colleagues at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.

“Playing Dr. Shaun Murphy has been an immense privilege and one of the most remarkable and rewarding experiences of my life. I will always be grateful to David, Liz, and Erin as well as the hugely talented - and lovely - cast, writers, and crew who made this show possible," Highmore said in a statement.

The show was ranked No. 1 in entertainment in last season's Monday’s 10 p.m. hour among adults aged 18 to 49. "Good Doctor" showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman and David Shore will lead the show during its farewell season.

The final season premieres on Feb. 20.
