It’s a quick way to amp up your cool factor, and for Levine and Johansson, it was a surefire way to stand out on the red carpet.
The cut is the perfect choice for Johansson who has completely transformed her life in the past year. The 30-year-old Avengers star got hitched to French journalist Romain Dauraic last October in a secret ceremony in Montana. It was just one month after the birth of their daughter Rose. In her post-baby months, the actress has transformed with a sleeker, edgier look that looks more Miley than mommy. It’s a fresh look that suits Johansson’s confident personality. And with Johansson fronting a new girl group, The Singles, she’s now sporting the perfect rockstar cut.
Adam Levine has been donning versions of the cut since last April. It started out more punk, with completely shaved sides and longer on top. Now, with a little more hair on the sides, shorter, and poufier on top, it’s looking a little sexier. Which of course makes sense for a former People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive. The cut worked perfectly with his tux as he strolled the red carpet with wife, Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, before performing “Lost Stars” at the Oscars.
The side buzz, which is also Kelly Osbourne’s current look, is an example of how a haircut can make both men and women look younger and cooler, all with a few snips. So who wore it best? Levine or Johansson?
