Adam Sandler Says Travis Kelce Set For ‘Happy Gilmore’ Sequel Cameo
Some Happy Gilmore news from Happy himself: Adam Sandler says Kansas City Chiefs tight end (and Taylor Swift beau) Travis Kelce will make a cameo in the upcoming sequel to the 1996 hit comedy.
Sandler, appearing on last night’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, was talking about Happy Gilmore 2 when he was asked by Fallon about cameos.

“We have a nice something for Travis,” said Sandler, who is writing the sequel with original Happy co-writer Tim Herlihy. “He’s gonna come by.”
Sandler continued about Kelce, “He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”
Sandler also mentioned that some pro golfers would show up in the sequel, and the filming is expected to begin in New Jersey in a couple weeks.

The original Happy Gilmore featured appearances by golfer Lee Trevino as himself and, most famously, Bob Barker, also playing himself but in a way few fans of his genial demeanor hosting The Price is Right could ever expect.
Kelce, arguably one of the most famous men in the world thanks to a football career and a much-watched romance, has already begun building a performing career. He hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live, and is in talks to lead Lionsgate action-comedy Loose Cannons. He’ll also be appearing in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX horror series Grotesquerie and will host Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?
