Akron's The Black Keys to perform at pregame festivities for Super Bowl LVII
The Kelce brothers from Cleveland Heights won't be the only pair from Northeast Ohio making a Super Bowl appearance.
A couple of friends from Akron will also be at the big game.
The Akron-born duo The Black Keys along with Jason Derulo will be the headliners for the NFL TikTok Tailgate, the official pregame party on Feb. 12 before Super Bowl LVII.
The Black Keys group was formed in the early 2000s in Akron and features singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. The two have released 11 studio albums and won six Grammy Awards along the way.

This marks the third year the NFL has partnered with TikTok for the pre-Super Bowl game activities. The programming will be streamed live on @NFL on TikTok with a variety of guests from the NFL along with TikTok creators. Performances by The Black Keys along with Derulo will also be televised on the FOX Super Bowl LVII Pregame Show.
"Words can't express how honored and excited we are to have been asked by the NFL to join the Super Bowl festivities and perform at the TikTok Tailgate party," The Black Keys said in a statement. "As longtime football fans, we couldn't think of a better way to kick off Super Bowl Sunday. See you in Arizona."
This is not the band's first Super Bowl-related appearance. The pair was among those performers who put on concerts in and around New York City in the days leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014.
