Al Roker celebrated his college-aged son’s weekend homecoming with a visit to one of the family’s favorite restaurants.
The Today show weather anchor and co-host posed for a sweet photo with his wife, ABC journalist Deborah Roberts, and their youngest child, Nick Roker. The trio were photographed flashing huge smiles while sitting at a table inside Le Gamin Country, a French cafe located in Hudson, New York. Three additional photos included in the weathercaster’s Instagram post showed off some of the tasty menu items that they had ordered.
Nick is living away from home while he attends school. As his father’s Instagram post demonstrated, he visits home occasionally to spend time with his parents.

When he does stop by for a visit, “it’s not Saturday til we have #brunch” at the Hudson cafe, Al’s caption for the post said.
Roberts also shared a series of photos from Nick’s visit on Instagram, including one similar to her husband’s that showed the three smiling while seated inside the cafe. Another photo taken inside showed the mother and son leaning in to pose for a photo together. Nick also appeared alone in one photo included in his mother’s Instagram carousel as he gave her camera a thumbs up.
At 21, Nick is the youngest of Al’s three children. The Today co-host and Roberts also share Leila, 25, and Roberts is the stepmother of Courtney, 36, the daughter Al shares with ex-wife Alice Bell.
Though sightings of Nick on Al’s social media accounts are rare while he’s away at school, his parents have hilariously documented his comings and goings in the past. In a giddy Instagram video shared with fans earlier this year, the couple teasingly celebrated their son’s return to school after his winter holiday break.
“We’re going to miss him, but like my dad always said, ‘Can’t miss you if you don’t leave,’” Al joked in the video.
