Alan Arkin Recovering After Minor Stroke: 'He's Home and He's Fine,' Says Rep

Alan Arkin is at home recovering after suffering a minor stroke earlier this week. 

The Argo actor, 81, was hospitalized Monday and released Tuesday after being cleared by the medical staff. 

“He’s actually laughing today,” a rep for Arkin tells PEOPLE. “He’s at home, he’s fine. It was a mini-stroke, there’s nothing wrong.”

Arkin, who’s been nominated for Oscars four times, won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2007 for his turn in Little Miss Sunshine

The legendary actor is currently married to Suzanne Newlander, and has three children from previous marriages. 

His latest film, Going in Style, is directed by Zach Braff and also stars Michael CaineMorgan Freeman and Joey King. The comedy is slated to premiere this spring.
