Alanis Morissette announces summer 2024 concert tour, including a return trip to Milwaukee
Singer/songwriter/cultural touchstone Alanis Morissette announced a 31-city summer tour Thursday, including a July 28 concert at American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee.
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Morgan Wade are also on the bill.
The new tour follows Morissette's 2021-'22 tour that marked the 25th anniversary of her breakthrough album "Jagged Little Pill." That tour included a July 2022 stop at the amphitheater, which went on despite thunderstorms that canceled other area shows. That 2022 concert was Morissette's first Milwaukee appearance since 2008.
Milwaukee music fans rarely have that long to wait to see Joan Jett. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is practically a local: She rocked the stage as one of the openers for Day 2 of this summer's Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival in Veterans Park, and in 2022, she and her band played a scorching 50-minute set before headliners M?tley Crüe and Def Leppard at a rock-fest at American Family Field.
The general on-sale date for tickets to the Morissette concert is Nov. 17, available at alanis.com, Ticketmaster.com and the American Family Insurance Amphitheater box office. A variety of presales start Nov. 14. Information on ticket prices wasn't immediately available.
