Alec Baldwin Is Hollywood’s Dream Lead Man in ‘Framing John DeLorean’ Trailer (Video)
In the new film “Framing John DeLorean,” Alec Baldwin plays the beleaguered car manufacturer who invented the “Back to the Future” car and gambled everything in pursuit of the American dream.
But the question posed at the start of the first trailer for the film is, why hasn’t a movie been made about his life sooner?
“It’s got cocaine, hot chicks, sports cars, bombed out buildings, FBI agents, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, hardcore drug dealers,” his son says in the first trailer for the film.

“Framing John DeLorean” is a hybrid documentary that tells the story of DeLorean’s life from the eyes of his family and associates, along with a treasure trove of archival footage, but also re-enacts his life, with Baldwin in the leading role. Though a documentary on his life alone might’ve been just as compelling.
“John DeLorean was the leading man Hollywood producers dream of, and he was real,” an expert says in the trailer.
Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce direct and write the film (along with co-writer Tamir Ardon) that stars Baldwin, Morena Baccarin, Josh Charles, Dean Winters, Michael Rispoli, Jason Jones, Dana Ashbrook, Josh Cooke and Sean Cullen.
