Alicia Keys Walks the Red Carpet With Three Sons & It’s Clear They Each Have a Distinct Sense of Style
Alicia Keys had the best dates by her side at the 2024 Tony Awards. The famed singer watched the award show with her parents and three of her sons — all of whom were there in support of Hell’s Kitchen, a musical loosely based on Keys’ life that uses some of her music. And as if the musical wasn’t impressive enough, those six attendees certainly dressed to impress.
Keys absolutely stunned in a red off-the-shoulder gown that sparkled and fit her like a glove — just like the matching bicep-length gloves! Her dad Craig Cook wore a classic black tux and her mom Terria Joseph rocked shiny black pants and a floor-length white button-down shirt that was partially tucked in.

Best of all were Keys’ the three boys. The “Empire State of Mind” singer is stepmom to Kasseem Jr., 17 and mom to Egypt, 13 and Genesis, 9 all of whom she shares with husband Swizz Beatz. Keys is also stepmom to Beatz’s kids Prince Nasir, 23 and Nicole, 15.
Not only was it nice to see them all dressed up (and so grown up!), but it was cool to see how they’ve each developed their own distinct sense of style.
Kaseem wore a loose-fitting light tan suit with a black tank top underneath, chains, and white sneakers. Egypt rocked a white tux jacket, black pants, and a red bracelet (a little nod to his mom?). And then little Genesis looked so dapper in his black tux and [what looked like] velvet slipper-style dress shoes.
Genesis spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet and was so sweet. “I’m pretty proud of her, I think she’s done a lot,” he said. That moment alone must have made it a great night for Genesis. Who cares about seeing the star of Hell’s Kitchen, Maleah Joi Moon, win Best Lead Actress in a Musical when you can speak to ET? Apparently he had been asking the “Girl on Fire” singer for a while if he could talk to the press.
“‘Mom, can I do some interviews?'” she said, imitating her youngest.
Along with being a little style icon and guest on ET, Genesis is known for being a huge Swiftie. The two “met” at the 2019 iHeart Radio Awards when he infamously waved at the pop star while his mom was giving her acceptance speech. They reconnected at an Eras Tour concert, and Keys admitted that her son was nervous.
“They met up again recently, and he was like, ‘Is she gonna remember me?’ And it was a whole thing,” Keys said. “He was like, ‘She knew me since I was three, right, mom?’”
Not only did she remember him, but she gave him the full VIP experience. Now we’re wondering if he secretly rocked some friendship bracelets at the Tony Awards too.
