Alumni Jazz Fest to feature ‘Dinner under the Stars’
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Alumni Jazz Fest will be featuring ‘Dinner under the Stars’ on July 27 at 7 p.m. at Scissortail Park.
The Alumni Jazz festival is a fundraising event which benefits Guardian Kare Residential suite, a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing for homeless veterans.
The event will headline Loose Ends featuring Jane Eugene, a quadruple award-winning band from London, England. The band, a trio that formed in London during 1980, consisted of vocalist and guitarist Carl McIntosh, vocalist Jane Eugene, and keyboard player and vocalist Steve Nichol.

Jazz honors for the evening include Jan Daley, who was inducted into the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023. Her album “Way of a Woman,” was Billboard’s Number 1 album in the Traditional Jazz Chart.
Rita Graham, who was a Ray Charles “Raelette,” was the only one to have her album “Rita Graham Vibrations,” personally produced by Ray Charles, making it the only album project to be produced for a single female artist on his label.
Legendary pianist and organist Bobby Lyle, was deemed a musical wonder after the release of his first album, “The Genie,” that highlighted the Billboard charts. Throughout Lyle’s career he has served as a Music Director for Al Jarreau, Anita Baker and Bette Midler. Lyle received an Emmy Nomination with Midler for the HBO Special, “Diva Las Vegas.”
Other performers at the festival include Grady Nichols, Ilya Serov, Greg Manning, Chanda Graham and La Raza Connection performing Carlos Santana’s greatest hits.
General admission for the event is free, however, it is advised to bring your own chairs.
