Amal Clooney Breaks Her Butter Yellow Streak in Plunging Black Atelier Versace Gown With George Clooney at Albies Awards 2024
Amal Clooney adhered to the black-tie dress code in a full-length gown by Atelier Versace at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s The Albies at the New York Public Library on Thursday.
The dress featured a sweetheart neckline with a subtle plunge. The dress and was form-fitting, flaring slightly at the skirt and trailing behind her.

Her accessories were simple: a black clutch, silver shimmering chain drop earrings and several stacked silver and green bangles on one arm. She wore her hair down and opted for a red lip and matching nails.
George opted for a traditional look with a black tux, matching dress shoes and a watch with a silver face.
Amal’s black dress marks a departure from the lighter hues she has favored over the past year. Earlier in September, she wore one of 2024’s hottest shades — butter yellow — in a lace Atelier Versace gown for the Venice Film Festival premiere of her husband’s latest film, “Wolfs.” Last December, she wore a yellow dress to the premiere of “The Boys in the Boat,” a look inspired by Versace’s spring 1993 collection. At last year’s Albies, she chose another Versace gown, this one white and covered in crystals.
Named after anti-apartheid hero Justice Albie Sachs, The Albies aim to highlight the efforts of individuals pursuing justice in perilous situations.
Other attendees at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s The Ablies included Shailene Woodley, Busy Phillips, Donatella Versace and Charlotte Tilbury, among others.
