Amal Clooney Brings Butter Yellow to the Venice Film Festival 2024 Red Carpet in Atelier Versace with George Clooney at ‘Wolfs’ Premiere

George and Amal Clooney made a rare public appearance at the premiere of the actor’s new film “Wolfs” during the 2024 Venice Film Festival on Sunday.

George suited up in a black tuxedo and bowtie, adding on a pair of lace-up Oxford shoes. Amal, meanwhile, wore one of this year’s hottest hues — butter yellow — donning a plunging lace Atelier Versace gown featuring a ruffled skirt. The human rights lawyer accessorized with a crystallized Judith Leiber box clutch and drop earrings.

Amal wore her highlighted brunette tresses straightened, while her makeup consisted of sparkly eyeshadow, rosy blush and a soft pink lip.

George’s latest project costars Brad Pitt, marking the first time the actors have shared the screen since the late 2000s. Clooney and Pitt both appeared in the “Ocean’s” trilogy, as well as the Coen brothers’ 2008 film “Burn After Reading.”

“Wolfs,” directed by “Spider-Man: Homecoming” helmer Jon Watts, premieres on Apple TV+ on Sept. 27 in the United States. The action comedy follows two professional fixers who are forced to work together after finding themselves hired for the same job.

The Clooneys’ last public appearance together was at the premiere of “The Boys in the Boat” in December, where they celebrated George’s latest directorial feat. At that event, Amal also wore yellow, this time a neon shade in the form of a ’90s-inspired Atelier Versace gown. The dress was based on a design from the Italian label’s spring 1993 collection.

Labels like Sandy Liang, Bottega Veneta and Schiaparelli sent butter yellow down the runway in recent months, setting the sunshine-y trend for spring and summer. The popular pastel has been worn by stars including Aubrey Plaza and Emily Ratajkowski at high-profile events like the Emmys and the King’s Trust Global Gala.
