Amanda Stanton supports Dean Unglert's dramatic return to 'Bachelor in Paradise': 'He's a good guy'
Former Bachelor in Paradise star Amanda Stanton thinks Caelynn Miller-Keyes should give Dean Unglert another chance.
The two had coupled up on the dating show, but Dean abruptly left the show last month. He chose to do so on his own after concluding that he and Caelynn didn’t have a future. While Caelynn appeared to have been blindsided and heartbroken by the revelation, she eventually found a new love interest, Connor Saeli. Then, of course, Dean returned and told Caelynn that he’d realized he wants to be with her.
While the show left viewers hanging about what will happen with Caelynn and Dean (and Connor) next week, Amanda is rooting for Dean, one of her former cast members on 2017’s edition of Bachelor in Paradise, as she explained when she stopped by Build Series.
“So I have a soft spot for Dean. I love him,” she said. “I think he’s very true to who he is and he can also be really honest. So he’s not one of those guys that’s just gonna tell you what you want to hear. Like with Caelynn, I think, he started seeing that maybe he wasn’t ready for a relationship, so he removed himself. I think he’s self-aware in that way and he probably has learned from experience, like, the first season that he was on.”
Dean’s first season on Paradise didn’t go so smoothly, because he was in a love triangle with Kristina Schulman and Danielle Lombard.
“I think he has good intentions,” Amanda said. “I think he’s honest. I think Dean’s a good guy.”
Amanda had her own relationship troubles on The Bachelor, which she writes about in her new book, Now Accepting Roses: Finding Myself While Searching for the One . . . and Other Lessons I Learned from ‘The Bachelor.’ Let’s just say that ex Josh Murray probably isn’t a fan, although Amanda wouldn’t know, since they’re no longer in touch.
She continues to keep up with the dating show, albeit from the sidelines, so she has an opinion on just who should be giving away the final rose on the next season of The Bachelor.
“I think Mike would be a great choice, and I think Peter also would be a really good choice,” she said of fan favorites Mike Johnson and Peter Weber, who are both rumored to be up for the job.
