Season 19 Episode 19 Rankings:
10. Hakuna Matata Acrobats: First and foremost, I enjoyed every performance in this episode except for three, so this ranking was especially difficult which is always a great sign that the voters truly nailed it this season. While I still am not quite sure if they really stand a fighting chance at winning against acts with some seriously loyal fanbases, this performance at least puts them in the conversation as a contender. On the bright side, they impressed the judges….even with the opening mistake.
9. Learnmore Jonasi: The second contestant of the night to make me wonder if they had done enough to win with their performance. Learnmore’s set was not his strongest. Saying that, he had some great jokes mixed in there that were just genius. Can we please get this man a show, NBC?
8. Roni Sagi & Rhythm: As much as I loved this performance, the fact that they were the second to last act and I was already forgetting it…had to watch it twice…does not bode well for them. This was adorable, but not completely memorable.
7. Sebastián & Sonia: I feel like they aren’t exactly setting that stage on fire. I’m convinced Simon gave them the Golden Buzzer just to ensure they could perform together in the live rounds. The “Friends” scene came to mind immediately with that song choice. Honestly, they are pretty run-of-the-mill aerialists for me, which is to say that they do incredible things but nothing we have not seen before. The judges and social media loved it.
6. Richard Goodall: Out of every singer this season, nobody quite has the grasp on their lane like Richard. He knows people want that nostalgia and stuck with it all the way to the finale. This week was no different as he nailed the vocal and song choice. He really must be a Journey fan. If a singer is going shock everyone in the finale by making the final five, it just might be him.

5. Dee Dee Simon: This was the make-or-break performance, and Dee Dee brought it big time. This was her best performance all season and just the perfect song for her voice. This was “a moment.” She could absolutely surprise us next week and win that money.
4. Brent Street: The video package was great, but that performance was phenomenal. I need someone (hint hint Justin Timberlake) to re-record it so that they can be in the music video and win a VMA. It was that good. This not only gave them a huge chance to win this season but gave AIRFOOTWORKS a run for their money, which is no small feat. A+.
3. AIRFOOTWORKS: This performance blew my mind. Just incredible. I truly think that they are incapable of creating a bad performance. Saying that, was it as memorable as their past performances? That is where I am iffy. They still have an amazing chance at winning though.
2. Solange Kardinaly: Solange had what I lovingly call “the magic placement,” which is top of the second hour. Historically, a great spot on a lot of competition shows, but I digress. This performance blew my mind. From song choice to the transitions to that wardrobe this was A+ all around. My gut is telling me that she is going to win, but my brain says the act ranked first might have a razor thin edge.
1. Sky Elements: Drones should not make you cry…yet for the second week in a row they did. Every library needs this as a commercial. This was just perfection on every level. Between Solange and Sky Elements, this is going to be a tough choice for who wins this season. Can we get them for the Olympic opening ceremony next time?
