Season 19 Episode 17 Rankings:

12. Ashes & Arrows: I really wish that I could say that they won me over after an unmemorable performance a few weeks ago, but they continued to be forgettable. Vocally, they were okay but the song was just so bland. Will they advance to the finale and continue to confound me? Maybe.

11. Learnmore Jonasi: I found it shocking that he wasn’t immediately welcome into comedy clubs to practice his material. Saying that, this performance was not as good as the first two. The material was very hit or miss. “The Lion King” jokes were hilarious. He might have a chance to advance to the finale.

10. Alex Sampson: This might be a very unpopular opinion, but this performance was very lackluster. It felt like something Simon would have critiqued hard in his “American Idol” days. There is only so far that relying on his looks and existing fanbase can take him in the competition. Vocally, he did not sound great but at least he was less like Shawn Mendes this time around in the wardrobe department. The song has potential, but maybe someone like Charlie Puth could make it better lyrically?

9. Kelsey Jane: Unfortunately, this time around Kelsey Jane did not impress me as much. Her skillset is undeniable, but the wow factor was missing for me. The background graphic was gorgeous, though. Saying that, the judges were wowed, and Howie wondered if dentistry might be in her path down the road.

8. Reid Wilson: This performance is the perfect example of going from great to boring within a few weeks. From the wardrobe to the slow version of a classic, this felt so dated. Ironically, one of the youngest contestants in the competition managed to wow the judges with this one. Honestly, I think if a child singer is advancing to the finale….it won’t be him.

7. Roni Sagi & Rhythm: After this performance, I think this incredible canine could indeed make the finale. Saying that, the foot placement section blew my mind. Honestly, this might be my favorite performance from them thus far and solely based on the crowd reaction and social media…..they could beat out the act ranked above them.

6. Young-Min: After figuring out part of his performance last time, I wanted to ensure I stayed as eagle-eyed this time around. Fortunately for Young-Min, I could not figure out how he did any of that. On the opposite side of the coin, I also found this to be his least memorable performance so far this season. If I were to guess, he might not advance to the finale, but agreed with Heidi. When you are outshined by a dancing dog, you could be in trouble.

5. Brent Street: Brent Street never fails to blow my mind. This was easily my favorite performance from the group. From the song choice to the choreography, this was like watching a live music video. I could see them headlining a show in Vegas easily. If any act deserves to be in the finale that may not be a major fan favorite….it is Brent Street.

4. Pranysqa Mishra: Giving her best performance of the season with a Panic! at the Disco hit, this young singer blew the roof off the building. This was a perfect example of how the perfect song makes a contestant go from great to even greater. The judges were impressed and with her grandmother in the audience…well that was just icing on the cake. I would be shocked if she did not make the finale.

3. Richard Goodall: The best vocal performance of the night came from this singer, whose song choice was unexpectedly brilliant. Is his act a bit dated? Yes, but somehow this makes him cool at the same time. Honestly, I hope he never changes his style nor his passion. A few modern songs could help him get more support from younger voters though in the rest of what I think will be a very successful singing career.

2. Sky Elements: This performance had me in awe. Sky Elements keeps getting better and at this rate, this is a two-horse race for the “AGT” crown between them and the act ranked above them. This is absolutely a Las Vegas act and might be the best outdoor act in the history of the show.

1. Solange Kardinaly: Closing out the show, Solange Kardinaly showed that she can really put together an incredible performance within a week. I will never understand how she does this, but I am beyond impressed by her this season. She is easily one of the frontrunners to win. I will boldly predict that she will be one of the final three on that stage come finale time.
