American Idol winner to perform free concert in downtown Spartanburg, here's what to know
The winner of American Idol's Season 11, Phillip Phillips, will perform in downtown Spartanburg for the BMW Charity Pro-Am on June 6.
The BMW Charity Pro-Am is a non-profit, week-long event showcasing Upstate hospitality. It includes professional athletes and celebrities raising money and awareness for South Carolina organizations.
The concert will take place at 5 p.m., on Morgan Square in downtown Spartanburg. The concert will feature Spartanburg bands Back 9 Band, James Radford Band, and Gritty Flyright as openers for Phillips. It is the third year of the free concert.
Here is what to know about road closures and parking
The following roads will be closed from June 5 at 4 p.m. and will reopen on June 7 at 1 a.m.
Main Street from Liberty Street to Church Street
Dunbar Street from Liberty Street to Magnolia Street
Liberty Street, southbound Lane at Commerce
Commerce Street; from the parking garage to Church Street

Downtown Spartanburg thoroughfare will close on June 5 at 6 p.m. and will reopen on June 7 at 1 a.m.
Church Street from St. John Street to Broad Street
Church Street, northbound lanes from Broad Street to Kennedy
All parking garages will be open. For the Magnolia Street Garage, drivers will need to enter from Magnolia Street, as the Church Street entrance will be closed. Drivers will need to enter the Dunbar Street Garage from Commerce Street as the Dunbar St. entrance will be closed.
