Paisley, himself a two-time AMA winner, will perform in honor of the legendary Charley Pride, who was the first AMA winner for Country Male and Country Album. Five-time winner Kane Brown will also celebrate country achievements with a performance of hits both old and new. Khan will celebrate the achievements of women at the awards with a performance of “I’m Every Woman.” Seven-time AMA winner Knight, who performed at the very first ceremony in 1974, will return with a rendition of “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
Green Day will represent rock music’s achievements by performing their single “Dilemma,” while Hudson will pay tribute to the late, great Whitney Houston, who claimed 22 AMAs during her illustrious career. Carey has won 10 AMAs and will mark the 20th anniversary of her classic album “The Emancipation of Mimi” with a medley of songs from that album. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Raye will sing James Brown‘s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World” in recognition of the honorary American Music Award of Merit, which has been given out over the years to artists ranging from Brown himself to Prince and Annie Lennox.
And K-pop sensations Stray Kids, who have helped boy bands go global, will perform to celebrate the history of boy bands at the AMAs.
