Amy Grant And Vince Gill Announce New Christmas Album Coming Soon
Happy Christmas in July to all!
Happy Christmas in July: Music legends Amy Grant and Vince Gill have given fans an early gift by announcing a new Christmas album is on the way.
When I Think Of Christmas will include nine tracks previously released by Grant and Gill, as well as two new recordings. One of the new tunes, "'Till the Season Comes Round Again," is a duet the power couple traditionally perform to close out their "Christmas at the Ryman" concerts. Grant also recorded a new performance of "When I Think of Christmas," the title track of the album.
“Christmas music is a portal to wonder and awe, to nostalgia and ‘remember when,’ to hope and how-we-wish-it-could-be,” Grant said in a press release. “And because we return to the same playlists year after year, those songs have become the backdrop for our collective memories of gathering, of family, of gift giving, of celebration and solitude."
The album drops on September 13 in both digital and CD form. Fans can also get a limited-edition apple-red vinyl album through the official Universal Music Group store or at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium if you're planning to see them in concert. The pair are scheduled to return to the Ryman for a 12-concert series from November 29 to December 21.
“There’s nothing in the world that I love more than watching my girl shine, and she might shine the brightest when she does Christmas music," Gill said. "We have shared stages together for over 30 years and I’ve loved every note of it.”
