Emmy winner Amy Schumer is writing a book. Entertainment Weekly reports there was a bidding war, and the winning bid fell somewhere between $8 and $10 million. The competition was so fierce that editors had to place a monetary bid to even get a sit-down.

Of course, Schumer isn't the first comedian to rake in millions for writing a book. Tina Fey reportedly made $5 million for Bossypants, Lena Dunham received $3.7 million for Not That Kind of Girl, Aziz Ansari earned $3.5 million for Modern Romance, and Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak received $7.5 million for a book they are writing together.

Still, Schumer's reported sum blows her colleagues out of the water. And for good reason: Her career has never been hotter, with a hit movie, TV show, and comedy tour—and it looks like things are just getting started. We've reached out to Schumer's team for confirmation and will update this post when and if we hear back.
