Amy Schumer Shares Sweet Photo of 'Dad Dance' with Father Gordon at Her Wedding
Schumer's father has been living with MS since she was 12 years old
Amy Schumer celebrated Father's Day with a sweet throwback photo of her dad.
The Trainwreck actress, 43, posted a picture on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 16, of her and her father Gordon dancing at her 2018 wedding to Chris Fischer. “Dad dance at my wedding,” she wrote above the picture.
Schumer’s father has been living with MS since she was just 12 years old. The actress has been open about her father's health journey in the past. In 2015, she told Barbara Walters about her childhood and how her dad's diagnosis affected her family.
"Some days he's really good and he's with it and we're joking," she recalled in the ABC News interview at the time. "And some days I go to visit my dad and it's so painful. I can't believe it."
The comedian continued, "In terms of my dad being sick, it was just confusing to me, especially the way MS works. He was in physical pain. That's when I kind of took the lead and took care of everybody in my family. I would keep them — I would keep everybody laughing."

For Father's Day, Schumer also posted a picture of her husband, Fischer, 44, alongside her father. She captioned the snap, "To my 2 fav fathers." The Life and Beth actress and Fischer share one child together, son Gene, 5.

Schumer and Fischer, a chef, were first romantically linked in November 2017. They went Instagram official in February 2018, and got married not long after in Malibu on Feb. 14, 2018.

They welcomed their son Gene in May 2019.
The comedian spoke about celebrating her six-year wedding anniversary during an appearance on The View earlier this year.
“We are kind of romantic about it because we got married the day before Valentine’s Day,” she said at the time. “And so we watch our wedding vows. Yeah, we have a little video we watch.”

Schumer joked that she wanted to go second for reading their vows, but didn’t realize that Fischer would be a tough act to follow.
“I was like I’ll go second cause we know I’m gonna kill you know? But I couldn’t follow him,” she recalled. “His vows were so good. I was so impressed.”
