Deadline understands Langenberg is leaving her SVP, Format Sales & Productions role at the end of the year to spend more time with her family and the role will be reviewed in the meantime.
Beatrice Springborn, President, Universal International Studios & UCP, said: “We want to thank Ana for her incredible hard work, achievements, and the many opportunities she has created for NBCUniversal Formats. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding our formats business globally. We wish her every success in this next chapter.”
Langenberg added that it had “been such a pleasure working at NBCUniversal Formats and seeing our shows grow around the world.” “While I’m sad to leave my incredible team, I’ve decided it’s the right time for me to spend more time with my family. I’ll always be their champion, and I know they will continue to expand the business with passion and professionalism,” she added.
Prior to NBCUniversal Formats, Langenberg spent nearly two decades with Endemol Shine Group, working her way up from Sales Exec to COO of Creative Networks. She is a popular figure in the international formats world and the news has emerged at MIPCOM in Cannes.
Langenberg’s exit is the latest in the international distribution world following the departures of Eccho Rights’ Adam Barth and Fremantle duo Angela Neillis and Maximilian Bolenius.
