The former world number one tennis player is launching a stage show, Andy Murray: Centre Stage, that will tour the U.K. in the two weeks leading up to Wimbledon. The show is scheduled for four nights in June 2025 throughout the UK grass court season, starting with a June 18 show at SEC Armadillo in Glasgow, the city where Murray was born. The show continues June 19 at Playhouse in Edinburgh and then heads to Eventim Hammersmith Apollo, London on June 2. The final stop is June 29 at the New Wimbledon Theatre, the night before the Wimbledon Championships.
Andy Murray: Centre Stage will be hosted and produced by BBC sports broadcaster, Andrew Cotter, who has interviewed Murray several times in the past.
“After I retired this Summer, I wanted to try some different things. I don’t think a tennis player has done anything like this before so it felt like a great challenge for me. I haven’t stepped on a tennis court for a long time, so hopefully my fans will enjoy seeing me in this new setting,” Murray said in a statement.
Attendees will be asked to leave their phones at the door. Each location will allow a maximum capacity crowd of 3,400.
The tour was created in collaboration with WME and IMG Tennis, a division of WME Sports.
