Angel Reese Announces Partnership With Reese’s Pieces, Calls It A “Pinch-Me” Moment

Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese had secured her most aligned partnership to-date — an apparel deal with Reese’s Pieces.

The merch comes after Reese inked an endorsement deal with The Hershey Company.

“The fans really made this happen,” said the star rookie in a statement. “This collection is for my Reese’s Pieces, who’ve been with me every step of the way and the design elements bring together things that I love: basketball, style, and of course, Reese’s!”

She later explained to Boardroom, “The connection between my name and the Reese’s brand was obvious, but it went deeper than that. My fans started calling themselves ‘Reese’s Pieces,’ and after I kept seeing it on social, I started engaging with some of my fans about it. I wanted to deliver something that they could proudly wear this season. We worked as quickly as possible with Reese’s to build a collection that really reflected who I am — bold, vibrant, and unapologetically me.””

The first installment of the three-part collection was made available on Wednesday (Aug. 21) on Reese’s official website and features eight pieces composed of a cropped tee, a t-shirt, hoodies, and hats with a remix of the classic Reese’s logo that reads, “Reese’s Angel.”

Part two will be the Angel Reese x Reese’s basketball jersey and the final part of the collection will have “eight designs featuring a custom logo that marries Angel’s style with the timeless Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, giving fans the ultimate way to ‘crown’ their queen and their cup!”

Per Reese’s, the collection was designed in collaboration with IP/commerce platform, Athlete Studio.

The partnership was first teased back in June when Reese tweeted, “Reese’s pieces where yall at?????,” and the brand responded, “Where are we? Just following our favorite player.”

Fans immediately began pleading for them to collab in some way.

Reese called the partnership “one of those ‘pinch-me’ moments, where everything feels like it is coming full circle,” telling Boardroom, “I’ve learned so much about the business side of things and how to be strategic with my brand partners. It’s about aligning with brands that reflect who I am on and off the court, and Reese’s is a perfect example of that.”
