Angelina Jolie Makes a Statement at the 2024 AFI Fest In Shiny Gold Pumps and Silky Dress
More from Footwear News
Angelina Jolie appeared at AFI Fest yesterday in support of her new film “Maria” on Oct. 26 wearing a silky gown and shiny gold pumps.
Jolie, long known for her effortlessly glamorous looks, modeled a long cream-colored dress with a high neckline. She paired the silky gown with a black shawl-like layer with wide sleeves and a high-low hemline. She seemed to be channeling her character, opera singer Maria Callas — on the movie poster, Jolie, as Maria, wears a sweeping black layer over an off-white piece. To set off her elegant clothing, the actress wore her hair in side-swept blonde waves and brought in a splash of color with a bold red lip and red manicure.
Jolie continued to shine when it came to her footwear. She slipped on a pair of light gold pumps crafted with a reflective metallic material. The shoes followed a classic design with a triangular-shaped pointed toe, highly inclined sole and narrow heel. The gently curved upper left a great deal of the top of the foot uncovered. A shoe adjacent to this one can be found at a range of price points from a myriad of brands, including Sam Edelman and Manolo Blahnik.
Jolie has delivered quite a few regal looks while promoting “Maria,” which is the latest film from director Pablo Larrain. At the New York Film Festival in September, she wore a white archival gown from Madame Grès with a pair of red velvet platform sandals from Aquazzura with a lattice upper. She wore Aquazzura again at the Venice Film Festival, pairing light gold metallic platform sandals with a flowing beige gown and fur shawl. Earlier in the year, she slipped on a red heeled sandal to go with a silky gold dress and copper-colored cape when she attended the opening night of “The Outsiders” on Broadway.
