Angelina Jolie left her heels at home when she stepped out for the Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy on Nov. 24, appearing on the red carpet in a pair of black flats.
The actress continued her streak of modeling elegant ensembles while promoting her latest films. Her fifth directorial effort “Without Blood,” starring Salma Hayek Pinault and Demián Bichir, screened at the film festival it Italy, where she also received the Stella della Mole award.
For the Nov. 24 occasion, Jolie dressed up in a classic black pencil skirt with side slits and a loose black V-neck sweater, which was French tucked into her skirt. She arrived on the red carpet wearing a hand-crafted virgin wool and cashmere double chevron cloth trench coat from Brunello Cucinelli’s FW24 collection. Her hair is long and blonde these days while she maintains a natural makeup look.
While she’s been wearing a range of high heels lately, Jolie opted for a pair of black flats to complete her look on Sunday. The shoes seemed to feature a velvet upper which matched the hue of her top. The design also included an almond toe and a curved outline along the upper. They ultimately emphasized the understated elegance of her outfit while giving her feet a break from walking in heels. Whether it’s Everlane, Vince Camuto or Saint Laurent, a similar black velvet style can be found from a range of brands.
Jolie wore velvet shoes earlier this year when she slipped on a platform version of Aquazzura’s Romance style at the New York Film Festival. She wore another platform sandal from Aquazzura, the Sundance style, when she attended the Venice Film Festival in August. Her upcoming film “Maria” was part of the lineup at both festivals.
