Angie Harmon slammed by conservative fans over feminism shirt: 'You went to the dark side'
Angie Harmon took to Instagram to celebrate Women’s Equality Day Monday, but her message was not well received by some in her conservative fan base.
Harmon – a Republican who spoke in support of President George W. Bush at the 2004 Republican National Convention – caught some heat from followers after posting a picture of herself wearing a T-shirt that reads, "Feminism is for everybody."
Although Harmon received praise from some fans, others took issue with her feminist ideology, even accusing her of going to the "dark side."
"So sad…I thought you were conservative. You went to the dark side," user @crusaderwade wrote, while @strongking86 added, "I believe Feminists hate men they’re jealous of men they wish that they were men."

Harmon shot down the feminist stereotype in her caption, writing, "I am not a 'man hater' in any way."
"I do know that I work just as hard as they do, if not harder at times," she said. "I do believe that women, no matter what race or religion or sexual preference or WHATEVER deserve equal rights."
In fact, Harmon says she loves men who are "gentle & kind & protective" of women. She added, "To me, Any man that respects a/his woman is the sexiest thing!"
User @picastar, however, insisted that "today's feminism is out of control."
Harmon responded: "I agree that some have taken it to extreme but I will say most of them have a legitimate reason to be angry. They’ve been raped, used, humiliated…with no justice."
As for the "dark side" comment? The mother of three said, "I’m sad that you feel that asking for equal rights for ANYONE means I’ve 'gone to the dark side.'"
