Anitta Plays With Heavy Metal in Seks Vest and Miniskirt Embellished With Grommets, Studs and Silver Hardware for ‘Today’ Performance
Anitta helped kick off the summer with a leather look during her performance at the Citi Concert Series on NBC’s “Today” in New York City on Friday. Styled by Alejandra LaPilusa, the Brazilian star’s outfit was packed with edgy, eye-catching details.
The centerpiece of her look was a black leather vest by Seks, featuring punch-out holes with metal rings along the border. The top of the bodice had two brooches strategically placed on each side, while the lower half showcased an animal print. The vest was tied at the center and could be adjusted with two silver cylinder fasteners for a custom fit.

Adding even more texture to her look, Anitta wore a miniskirt, also by Seks. The skirt featured multiple layers, including pleats and small, patterned cutouts. The “Bellakeo” singer completed the ensemble with a rocker belt and a silver chain that draped along the skirt from the belt. She accessorized with fishnet tights that peeked above her skirt’s waistline and calf hair Maryana Wild Leather boots in animal print by Schutz.
Anitta’s New York performance adds to a series of memorable fashion moments from the singer. At the Premio Lo Nuestro 2024 Red Carpet in February, she wore a dramatic long black dress with cutouts from Mugler’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection. Last December, she opened Art Basel Miami Beach in an Edward Scissorhands poster print outfit.
Anitta’s connection with fashion has been a constant throughout her career. In a previous interview with WWD, she shared, “I’m a sexy and fun kinda gal. I love making statements with sensuality, but never taking myself too seriously. Fashion should be fun.” She also noted that she has “no fashion regrets” so far.
The “Today” Show Citi Concert Series runs from May to September at Rockefeller Plaza. Wallows kicked off the series on May 24, and Meghan Trainor, Kehlani, Lainey Wilson and Gracie Abrams are scheduled to perform throughout June.
