It isn’t everyday that the red carpet matches the celebrities’ shoe soles.
Anjana Vasan, David Tennant and Lashana Lynch all wore Christian Louboutin shoes, complete with signature red outsoles, to the BAFTA Television Awards in London on Sunday, May 12. The annual event celebrates excellence in British television, recognizing outstanding performances across various categories.
Anjana Vasan
Singaporean actress Vasan opted for a lavender “Hot Chick” pump in patent leather. The pointed-toe shoe has scallop detailing with an approximately 4-inch high heel. It is offered in beige and Bianco and retails for $895.
David Tennant
First-time host David Tennant, the Scottish actor known for his roles in “Harry Potter” and British television shows like “Doctor Who” and “Broadchuruch,” chose a black patent leather Chambeliss loafer featuring a subtle heel elevation and a distinctive silver bar detail. Crafted from calf leather, this loafer is priced at $1195 and available in both black and dark brown as part of the Maison Christian Louboutin collection.
Lashana Lynch
Lynch selected the black suede Actina slingback pumps featuring a bar detail. These pointed-toe shoes, with a heel height of approximately 2.5 inches and a prominent strap over the toe box, are also available in silver and beige. Additionally, options extend to patent and genuine leather materials. The retail price is set at $795.
Vasan and Tennant were both nominated. Although they didn’t win, they were joined by many celebrities who were out celebrating the award show where “Happy Valley,” “Top Boy” and “The Sixth Commandment” claimed the most golden mask trophies of the evening.
