Anne Hathaway Posts a Fun Selfie Wearing These Fun $11 Pimple Patches

Stars, they’re just like us. At least, that’s what relatable queen Anne Hathaway says in the caption of her latest Instagram post. The Idea of You actress took to the platform to showcase the latest beauty trend she’s hopped on: pimple patches. Wearing pimple patches in public that are colorful fun shapes or decorative has become almost a fashion statement. They can be a powerful tool that makes others with skin issues or those who are acne-prone feel more included, by embracing what society deems as “beauty imperfections” (for lack of a better term).

Hathaway opted for the cutest blue- and pink star-shaped pimple patches (hence the star-related caption), which you can buy yourself. Available at Walmart, these Starface Party Pack Hydro-Star Pimple Patches are just $11 and come in a 32-pack. They’re offered in aqua, lime, azalea, and violet colors and are advertised as safe for all skin types. The patches are made of hydrocolloid, which absorbs fluid and reduces inflammation to shrink pimples.

All you need to do is stick them to the troubled area on your face and wear them out and about, like Hathaway, or overnight. Covering the blemish can also reduce skin picking, preventing further acne marks or scarring.

Other big celebs, like couple Justin and Hailey Bieber, Florence Pugh, Kim Kardashian, and Millie Bobby Brown have all taken part in the trend within the past few years. The popular patches they’ve used are the yellow Starface Large Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches, currently $13 on Amazon (and also coming in a 32-pack).

Hathaway paired the patches with large black sunglasses, a basic blue ball cap, and what looked to be a cozy, baby blue sweatshirt. The Princess Diaries star recently posted another car selfie wearing over- and under-eye patches, so it’s safe to say that the former Princess of Genovia is in her beauty influencer era.
