In my mind, Anne Hathaway will always be the Princess of Genovia, and recently, the fictional royal took a break from her duties to visit other (real) parts of Europe. She posed with historic sights, sipped on honey lattes, relaxed by the coastline, and even made a pit-stop to the Eras Tour in Germany. And through it all, I noticed her trusty shoe of choice: Birkenstocks.

I spotted the cushy, sleek shoe in a couple of her photos, proving just how much she relies on the versatile footwear. Hathaway’s style appears to be the Arizona Waterproof Slide Sandal in eggshell, thanks to the ridged sole and double-buckle design. Better yet? It’s still in stock at Nordstrom. Score!

Hathaway isn’t the only star who approves of the brand, as Reese Witherspoon reaches for a similar version like clockwork, including a super fuzzy option that’s currently on sale at Gilt (a.k.a. a free members-only sale site that only requires your email to unlock the deals). Not to mention, Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber have a thing for the fall-approved clog style that’s equal parts cozy and cute. And TBH, they basically feel like slippers that you can actually wear out and about.

The good thing about all of these Birkenstock styles is that they can be worn all year round—yes, even the sandal versions. I would know, because I’ve owned the Arizona Waterproof Slide, Arizona Shearling, and Boston Clog before. The secret is wearing socks when it’s chilly out, and ditching them altogether when temperatures spike. Of course, you’ll want to style them appropriately, too, adding cable-knit sweaters and corduroy pants for fall and winter, and shorts and flowy blouses for summer and spring.
