In the Kingdom of Castilia, days from the coronation of the new Emperor and Empress, their seven royal fledglings are taken and it’s up to one hero to return them safely; a teenage delivery boy, Arthur the Goat. His dreams of becoming a world-class barber are put on hold when he becomes the unwitting guardian of the royal heirs. If he’s going to keep the rambunctious toddlers safe on their journey, he must first grow up, discover his own past, and along the way, awaken forgotten champions. Can Arthur return the heirs and ultimately save the kingdom?
The film is the debut feature of Pixar mainstay Andrew Gordon (“Finding Dory,” “Toy Story 3”) and Disney alumnus Arturo A. Hernandez (“Tinker Bell,” “Planes”). Hernandez co-wrote the script with Gillian Berrow (“My Little Pony”). Fabrizio Mancinelli (“Mushka,” “The Snow Queen” 3 & 4) provided the soundtrack.
The film is structured as a Thailand-China co-production involving T&B Media Global, a Thai entertainment company specializing in content and entertainment technologies, and Base FX.
Base FX has provided CGI for such blockbusters as “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Aquaman” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” In latter years, Base has branched into animation production. Its founder Chris Bremble was instrumental in the production of the 2021 Chris Appelhans-directed “Wish Dragon” which earned $21 million at the mainland China box office and was released by Netflix in multiple other territories.
Bremble, Keven Sun Zheyi, Ling Fang of CCTV Animation Group and Jwanwat Ahriyararomp are credited as producers. The film’s executive producers are Ahriyararomp, Sun, Cai Zhijun and Andrew Gordon.
