Another Celeb Just Fueled Rumors of Jennifer Lopez & Leah Remini’s Feud
It’s no secret that tinsel town friendships can be as twisty as a roller coaster ride. Case in point: the enduring bond between Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini. This friendship, which has been the talk of the town for over a decade, is reportedly going through a bit of a rough patch. The first hint dropped when Remini was a no-show at Lopez’s second wedding to Ben Affleck.
The rumor mill went into overdrive when Michelle Visage, known best for her role as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, subtly hinted at a possible rift. Visage is close to both Remini and Lopez. She’s been spotted with Remini on numerous occasions, including their guest-hosting stint on The Wendy Williams Show earlier this year. Visage also joined Scientology while Remini was still a member — and got out shortly after Remini did. Meanwhile, Visage’s connection with Lopez can be traced back through her friendship with Remini.

Remini and Lopez’s friendship goes way back to a 2004 red carpet event where they first met. “It was one of those instant chemistry things, where you just feel like, ‘I love this person. I love being around this person. This person makes me laugh,’” Lopez told Entertainment Tonight back in 2018. “She’s cool, and we also have very similar upbringings. That’s why we work well together.”
Visage dropped the cryptic hint about J. Lo and Remini’s current friendship while chatting with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang on Sept. 27 episode of their podcast “Las Culturistas.” When asked whether or not “[Leah] and J. Lo are best buds, right?” by Rogers, Visage cryptically replied, “No comment,” per Us Weekly. Quite a cliffhanger, right?

But before we get carried away, let’s consider another angle that doesn’t involve a massive falling out. According to TMZ, the reason Remini was notably absent from the wedding was because she was dropping off her then-18-year-old daughter Sofia off to college. Sources told the publication that Remini was invited, but she wanted to understandably wanted to spend time with her daughter before she headed off to college.
So, what’s the real scoop? Only J. Lo and Leah know. Friendships, even those under the Hollywood spotlight, have their ups and downs. As the saying goes, time will tell. Until then, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that whatever happens, they navigate through it with grace and come out stronger on the other side.
